Benjamin DAVID-TESTANIÈRE

Born in Saint-Tropez, Benjamin David-Testanière works as a professional photographer there, so he is very familiar with the area. Among other things, he has learnt to use the highly contrasting light of the Côte d'Azur and to avoid the pitfalls of local traffic. Benjamin worked for 10 years as an assistant draughtsman in an architectural practice. During this time, he also took photographs of Mediterranean orchids and portraits. After becoming a professional photographer in 2010, he began writing and illustrating practical manuals for Pearson France, followed by articles in the specialist press for publishers Oracom and Riva. This photographer has mainly developed his technique in amateur photography, macro photography and live model photography. Benjamin David-Testanière soon turned his attention to shooting houses for estate agents, developers and owners of short-term rental properties.

Professional and committed, this photographer pays particular attention to ensuring that vertical lines are straight, avoids distortions of any kind and balances the contrast of his images to avoid dark areas and windows without a view. Benjamin generally shoots interiors and facades in wide shots (10 to 15mm lenses) to emphasise the volumes of each room. He processes the views, taking photos in classic format and panoramic shots (if the client's media accept this format).

Versatile, he also takes fashion photos for designers, and above all private sessions. Benjamin knows how to adapt to the current style of social networks such as Instagram. He delivers his photos retouched or raw if the client wishes to filter them himself on his smartphone.
